About Genesis

Genesis Psychotherapy & Family Therapy Service provides affordable professional psychotherapy and family therapy in the community.

We are committed to offering a safe, respectful and supportive environment where people can explore difficulties, strengthen relationships and find new ways forward.

Genesis began life as Corduff Counselling Service in 1993 as a community-based support service.

Over time, the organisation evolved into Genesis Psychotherapy & Family Therapy Service, continuing its commitment to accessible and professional therapeutic support within the community.

Our Team

How We Work

Multiple people's hands stacked together, symbolizing unity or teamwork, with colorful sweaters and clothing.

Our therapy centre offers daytime and evening appointments. We understand how important it is to feel comfortable and supported when attending therapy. Our centre is designed to provide a safe and respectful space for adults, children, young people and families.

When someone contacts Genesis, a member of our administration team will take some basic details and arrange an assessment appointment with a senior therapist. This assessment provides an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to the service, explain how Genesis works, and explore what support may be most appropriate.

Following assessment, clients are placed on a waiting list until an appointment becomes available with a suitable therapist.

Professionals and agencies are welcome to contact us to learn more about the service. However, the person wishing to attend therapy must make contact themselves.
